Pyla is a village in Larnaca District. Pyla is among the oldest villages in Cyprus. It is a community with a rich history. Pyla is the only village in Cyprus were Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots co-inhibit after the invasion of 1974.
Pyla square has some local coffee shops and a few places to eat as well as the United Nations Station. Pyla has archaeological sites, a medieval tower, the Folk Art Museum, the Turkish Cypriot Mosque, the Cultural Centre, the old Police Station.
